Determiner
A determiner is a word placed before a noun to clarify, specify, or limit its meaning, providing information
about quantity, ownership, or proximity.
(अर्थात उसकी मात्रा, निश्चितता या स्वामित्व बताता है।)
Types of Determiners
- Articles: 'the', 'a', 'an' (e.g., "the dog," "a house")
- Possessives: 'my', 'your', 'his', 'her', 'its', 'our', 'their' (e.g., "my book," "her car")
- Demonstratives: 'this', 'that', 'these', 'those' (e.g., "this apple," "those sweets")
- Quantifiers: 'some', 'any', 'many', 'few', 'all', 'both', 'each', 'every', 'no' (e.g., "some water," "all people")
Important Rules
- Some (कुछ) – Affirmative sentence के साथ प्रयोग होता है।
- Any (कोई) – Negative और Interrogative sentence के साथ प्रयोग होता है।
Note: अगर वाक्य की शुरुआत will / would / can / could से हो तो some का प्रयोग करें। - Much – Uncountable nouns के साथ (ज्यादा)।
- Many – Countable nouns के साथ (बहुत)।
- Both – दो संख्या के लिए।
- All – सभी (All + Determiner + Noun आ सकता है)।
- Whole – पूर्ण या पूरा। (Format: whole + noun)
- Few / A few – Countable nouns के साथ। Few = न के बराबर, A few = कुछ।
- Little / A little – Uncountable nouns के साथ। Little = न के बराबर, A little = थोड़ा।
